How To Send Voice Messages on WhatsApp Using “OK Google”
Voice messaging is a very good feature when harnessed properly. Do you know you can now send voice messages on whatsapp using the “OK Google” feature.
Google has added this new feature to its latest Android app to improve the Google assistant experience which allows you do some things in your phone by talking instead of typing or tapping your phone. It’s more like Microsoft’s Cortana and Apple’s Siri. (I love Apple’s Siri more though, 😀)
HOW TO SEND A MESSAGE ON WHATSAPP USING THE (OK GOOGLE) GOOGLE ASSISTANT
- To send a message, launch Google assistant by long-pressing on your Android device home button . For iOS users, download Google assistant app here and say this command:
“OK Google, send a Whatsapp message to Taylor”
(Taylor is an example, so you can use any other name available on your phone contacts list)
- Then, send a voice message
- Google will ask for the recipient (if you didn’t specify any earlier) and starts recording.
FAST WAY TO USE THE OK GOOGLE FEATURE
To start sending a whatsapp message using voice, just say something like “OK Google, send a Whatsapp message to Taylor.” You’ll then be asked to dictate your message. But if you want it to go in a more easy and seamless way, you can just say, “OK Google, send a Whatsapp message to Taylor: Want to go to the movies?” or anything you like.
You can also use this feature on the latest versions of WeChat, Telegram, and NextPlus. Also make sure the version of your Google app is up to date.
Good thing about this thing is it can be faster, and much fun too.
Although, you might get frustrated sometimes when google misunderstands you and suggest another name different from what you said. The thing is Google prefers English names and words.
Note that you can also delete or record another voice message before sending. Just try it out and see , it’s fun.
