Facebook and Instagram Goes Offline.
Two of the most largest social media platforms in the world, Facebook and Instagram have suffered major downtime recently, mirror.co.uk reports. This incident occurred on Wednesday, 16:00 BST (British Standard Time).
According to reports, the problem was first tracked down by DownDetector, an international website which tracks down major network outages.
According to users, some say they are unable to access the desktop version of the sites while others claim they are having problems with the mobile versions. As far as I know, both versions are suffering the same fate and Facebook should do something to correct this ASAP.
Luckily, some regions have not been too affected but users in South of England and East Coast of America have been massively affected. Other regions affected are heavily are the United States, some regions in Europe as well as Africa.
Most users took to rival social network Twitter to complain about the situation.
Meanwhile, a Facebook spokesperson revealed to Mirror Online that they are aware of the situation and are currently handling it.
His words “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook and Instagram,”
“We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
Facebook should better do something to this quickly as millions of people can’t do without Facebook for a day. What’s your say on this?
